
Learn How To Make A Print Ready Business Card In This Photoshop Tutorial - With thanks from UBL Designs

Welcome to our tutorial
In this tutorial we will go through making a very good looking business card design front and back.
Step 1
Start a new document and set the size to 88.9mm x 50.8mm with 300dpi and the colour set to CMYK.
Now lets setup some printing guidlines for the text so that you do not get a bad print. Please see image below.

Step 2
Now grab your gradient tool (G) and set your forground colour at #f2f7e6 and background at #d8e9b5. Now drag from bottom left to top right and yoou should get an image like below.

Step 3
Now grab your rectangle tool (U), select #a5b538 as your forcolour and make a rectangle like the shape below. Add your name and Position within your company. I have used font Century Gothic and the colour #ffffff but you can use which ever you like.

Step 4
Now add your email and phone number within the top left and stay within your print lines. Again i used Century Gothic for my font and #a5b538 for the colour but you can use which ever you want.
Within the bottom left write your company name (i used the impact font and for the colour #a5b538) and go to Layer/Layer Styles/Blending Options.
Activate Inner Shadow and use the following options:
Blend mode = Multipul and the colour #b7bcbf
Agle 120
Distance 5, choke 0, size 5.

Step 5
Finally for the front side select the rectangle tool (U), select #a5b538 as your forcolour and within the print guild on the right make the rectangle.
Now go to Styles/Style Layer/Blending Options and activate the Innershadow and use the blending as Multipul with the colour as #9ba0a4, Opacity set at 75%, Angle -67, Distance 5, Choke 0, Size 5.
Step 6
Start a new document and set the size to 88.9mm x 50.8mm with 300dpi and the colour set to CMYK.
Now lets setup some printing guidlines for the text so that you do not get a bad print. Please see image below.

Step 7
Grab the paint bucket tool (G) and fill the background in #a6b638. Then type in your company name in a large font size like the image below. I used the font: Impact and the colour #ffffff, Place the name just below center of the document.

Final Step
Now making sure your forground colour is #a6b638 select the rectangle tool (G) and make it the whole width of the document and only about 1cm in hight. Now go to Layer/ Layer Styles/Blending Options and activate the Dropshadow and use the following options.
Blending mods = Multipul with the colour #828386 and the angle set to -90. The distance 5, spread 0 and size 5.
Congratulations you have now created your Business Card, Front and Back.
